Position Summary: The UNC Department of Epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking an independent and detail-oriented contributor to serve as a full-time Project Manager to Dr. Whitney Robinson, an Associate Professor in the Department of Epidemiology and expert in quantitative methods to assess racial/ethnic and gender differences in health. The Project Manager position is full-time. This person will support research projects using health systems data (e.g., data derived from electronic medical records) to investigate racial, socioeconomic, and geographic differences in womens healthcare and well-being. The position will require capacity to coordinate multiple concurrent tasks, including managing budgets, data use agreements, publication timelines, and institutional review board approvals. The Project Manager will interface with a multidisciplinary team, including public health graduate students, biostatisticians, analysts, and other research and administrative staff at units such as NC TraCS, the IRB office, and UNC Health Care. Education Requirements: Masters degree in Epidemiology, Health Services, Public Health, or a related field

Qualification and Experience: Skills and Experience Required: - Highly organized and process-oriented with superb time management - Excellent attention to detail - Excellent interpersonal skills; willingness to give and seek constructive feedback - Demonstrated interest in womens health and healthcare or social determinants of racial inequalities in health - Intermediate or higher-level skills in MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook Calendar - Experience with Endnote or another reference management software - Well-developed research skills including ability to execute searches using relevant search terms and algorithms and synthesize data from multiple sources - Excellent verbal communication - Strong writing skills Desirable Skills and Experience: - Experience with grant-writing - Experience with stakeholder engagement or qualitative research - Ability to initiate and manage project-related social media - Webpage design and management skills - Ability to design graphics to convey information or data to a non-scientific audience - Familiarity with health care systems data - Work experience in clinical settings - Strong presentation skills - Experience in collection and interpretation of quantitative or qualitative data - Masters level analytic skills and familiarity with a statistical programming software (e.g., SAS, Stata, R)
