Under the general direction of the Associate Director of Evaluation, the position of Assistant Director, Evaluation has significant leadership responsibilities in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This position is able to successfully and efficiently manage an operational workload and/or staff of evaluation professionals to meet the fast-paced demands of the unit, campus, and UC system. The position has superior expertise in the complex processes surrounding UCI undergraduate application evaluation and utilizes this comprehensive knowledge to successfully and efficiently manage application evaluation for freshmen, transfer, domestic-out-of state/international and special populations with the ability to interpret credentials from a diverse variety of institutions such as secondary, postsecondary, and foreign. The position may serve on systemwide task forces and committees and participate in the development of and leadership in operational and policy making for systemwide initiatives. The position also serves as resource to Undergraduate Admissions and the greater campus community, for complicated issues and problems related to admission to the University. The position is also a resource to the external community: high school and community college counselors, representatives from other universities, and UCI advisors and administrators.
The Assistant Director provides direction and guidance to staff on interpretation of complex requirements for admission and may develop a team of independent decision makers regarding the acceptance of transfer coursework from domestic and foreign institutions to the University. The Assistant Director may develop a staff that is able to represent the University and the Office Undergraduate Admissions at high school and community college conferences, meetings and other outreach events. The position may also participate in interdepartmental and system-wide meetings regarding the admission of students to the University.

Salary: Monthly $4,968.58
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F

Occasional evening and weekend work is required. Valid California driver's license is required.
