Working Hours: Working hours for this position consist of 25 hours per week spread out over 5 days. The position may require occasional evening and/or weekend work, which may be worked in lieu of the regular hours scheduled for that week. The regular hours are to be agreed upon between the supervisor and employee at the onset of employment.

Summary: The Healthcare Coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and oversight of the Nurse Aide Program and will assist the Director of Occupational Programs with the design and implementation of new non-credit medical programs when requested.

Education and/or Experience Required:                                                  

Two years of experience in caring for the elderly and/or chronically ill in a nursing facility required.

Education and/or Experience Preferred:

Bachelor of Science, Nursing

Previous teaching experience with adult learners.

Previous experience in a community college.

Management and/or budgeting experience.

Certificates, Licenses, Registration:

Current and unrestricted RN license in Pennsylvania is required.

Teaching-the-Educator workshop certificate of completion is preferred.

Language Skills: Bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.  Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.  Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of students, faculty, staff, outside groups and the general public.
