Job Summary

Deliver continuing medical education lectures and skill training to EMS and fire agencies throughout the Aims Community College service area.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Teach at various outreach sites to include evenings and weekends.
• Provide effective and high quality instruction in compliance with internal and external regulations.
• Instruct small group sessions to demonstrate skills and coach student skills performance in compliance with student-faculty ratios.
• Follow College and department procedures for student evaluation and grading.
• Evaluate student performance and document student skill proficiencies. (Evaluation occurs both informally through skills check-off activities and formally in skills evaluation sessions.)
• Present individual topic didactic instruction, as needed-does not present majority of course material.
• Assist the EMS coordinator with the maintenance and coordination of EMS equipment used for instruction off campus.
• Set up and tear down skill stations.

Minimum Qualifications

• Colorado EMT certification
• Qualify for a career and technical education credential in the discipline. To qualify, applicants must be able to document a minimum of 4,000 hours of work experience related to the field in the last 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associates degree in a related field
• Colorado paramedic certification
