Degree and Area of Specialization:
Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in information technology, computer science, or related field.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
At least 5 years relevant experience required.
License or certificate:
This position will support Dr. Giulio Tononi's research by providing information processing support, assistance and direct training to faculty, researchers and students affiliated with the Wisconsin Institute for Sleep and Consciousness. It will involve consulting with the leadership team to determine, develop and support the software and technological needs of the department.
-Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills.
-Ability to manage constant shifting priorities.
-Ability to work independently or as a team.
-Ability to review, unify, enhance, and document correct use of scripts with multiple authorship over time in MATLAB and Python.
-Ability to profile and optimize scripts in MATLAB and Python using C/C++ and assembly.
-Profficient computer coding programming skills in a variety of computer programming languages including but not limited to MATLAB, Python, and C/C++.
-Experience with evaluation and assessment.
-Experience working in an academic environment and/or clinical or sleep research environment.
-Experience with EEG and PSG processing concepts and software.
