Advertised Job Summary: - Assist the department chair in the administration of the Languages, Literature, and Composition (LLC) office, including acting as liaison among university units; facilitating communication between faculty, staff, students, and the community; coordinating documentation, communication, electronic processes, equipment, facilities, supplies, and budget maintenance, including hiring, training, and supervising student employees. - Job tasks related to conducting searches, hiring, scheduling, and onboarding full-time and part-time faculty in the Division of Languages, Literature, and Composition. - Job tasks facilitating advisement, orientation, registration, recognition, and graduation of students. - Job tasks for co-curricular, cultural, and community-based departmental programming and special projects. - Job tasks related to faculty benefits, travel, compensation, performance evaluations, and personnel records.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree and 2 years of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment, or high school diploma and 6 years work experience that is directly related to the area of employment; or equivalency. A successful background check is required.
