Serves as frontline team member for Meds-to-Beds (M2B) discharge prescription services operating out of UK Healthcare. Participates in care coordination for patients entering and leaving the healthcare facility providing prescription medication assistance. Communicates with other members of inpatient and outpatient care teams to improve patient satisfaction and outcomes and documents/updates patient's electronic medication records. Helps to process, fill, and dispense medications in the UK Retail pharmacy and also provides insurance benefits investigations to assist with removing access to care financial barriers as needed.

Physical Requirements

May include standing for greater than 5 hours at a time and possibly walking several miles per day. May require the ability to reach items above shoulder level and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.


Rotating shifts currently being staffed during the current operating hours of the service Monday thru Friday 8am-8pm and weekends 9am-5pm. Weekends and holidays are rotated among the Meds To Beds staff. Hours and rotations are subject to change based on the needs of the department.


This position requires dependability, and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?

Preferred Education/Experience

Two years of previous work experience (in a related field). Prefer previous pharmacy tech experience or work/classes in medical field. Hired candidate must maintain state licensure in good standing. Must have 2 years of full-time (or pro-rated) pharmacy technician experience and must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
