Job Information

Job Summary:

The Temporary Coordinator will support the Employer Relations & Development (ERD) team as well as the planning and execution of spring quarter recruiting cycles. The Temporary Coordinator will provide high-level of customer service and will help support all on-campus recruiting logistics including interview schedules. This position will offer significant administrative support including data entry, preparation of resume packets, drafting communication, updating office calendars, and monitoring interview schedules and event details in the Handshake system.

This role will also liaise with the Office of Event Services (OES) to help carry out the booking process for employer on-campus information sessions. This includes providing operational support for employers when choosing information session packages (e.g., audio/visual equipment arrangements, facilities availability and selection, menu planning etc.). The Temporary Coordinator will work closely with ERD to coordinate event calendars and employer programming for the office.

  • Provide administrative support for On-Campus Recruiting (OCR) and for employers and ERD team.
  • Help collect hiring information, track, enter and update student placements and compile data for full-time and internship recruiting.
  • Run reports and prepare data including but not limited to student placement statistics, employer registration information, job posting and general system usage statistics.
  • Assist with managing the logistics related to the University's flagship Jeff Metcalf Internship Program, including but not limited to answering student inquiries and issuing internship award letters.

  • Deep commitment to customer service and the ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • High level of professionalism when interacting with internal and external constituents and demonstrated ability in maintaining collaborative relationships with a diverse range of customers.
  • Ability to work effectively on a team as well as independently.
  • Tact and professionalism in interactions with internal and external participants in the program.
  • Exemplary organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Ability to communicate to large groups as well as one-on-one with students, senior management, faculty, alumni, etc.
  • Patient and tolerant attitude toward demanding clients and work. Willingness and ability to work some evenings.

Additional Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 2 years of relevant work experience

Technical Knowledge or Skills:
  • Demonstrated ability to use Internet-based recruiting programs and learn new technologies.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
