Required Qualifications:
- Employment experience as a Carpenter
- Experience using trade-specific tools
- Experience performing interior space and furniture maintenance and repairs
- Experience and proficiency framing structures and walls
- Experience installing countertops and flooring using laminate, tile, vinyl, carpet, and hardwood

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience handling hazardous material
- Familiarity with MSDS
- Employment experience in higher education or government
- Computer skills, including proficiency with e-mail and use of a portable electronic tablet
- Experience using AiM and SAP

Job Description:
The purpose of this position is to assemble, construct, repair, and/or maintain University building interiors through carpentry. This includes performing duties and assignments related to furniture, doors, windows, walls, shelving, and any other interior structures and equipment requiring entry-level carpentry trade skills performed under supervision

Job Duties:
- Performs maintenance on interior University spaces including repair/replacement of ceiling tile, sheetrock, vinyl tile, carpet, hardwood, parquet, and ceramic tile.
- Frames walls, installs new trim, corner and base molding, paneling, sheetrock and door trim. Installs, repairs, and replaces glass, countertops and laminate.
- Constructs, hangs, and repairs doors, cabinets, and shelving
- Assembles, disassembles, and repairs furniture

Additional Information to Applicants:
This position requires paid, rotational on call duty with the other carpenters
