Program Director

The position of Program Director is to oversee complex, multi-site, biobehavioral intervention and clinical trial studies in cancer control research. Key responsibilities include performing the highest level of administrative analysis including coordination of patient-reported outcomes data collection and analysis between University of Alabama and the multiple national and international sites contributing data to this Department of Defense grant, and coordinating integration of these outcomes data with genomic and proteomic data obtained through this study. Further, this person will serve as Associate Director of the UCI Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center's Biobehavioral Shared Resource (BBSR) which includes coordinating and assisting investigators associated with the Cancer Center to conduct and communicate research of the highest possible quality. The primary activities of the Biobehavioral Shared Resource include consultation on behavioral and/or quality of life self-report measurement, research design, data collection, focus group development, health promotion program evaluation, interpretation of self-report data as well as manuscript preparation, and counseling interventions within clinical trials. Duties include the management and oversight of research project staff and the management of multiple data collection activities which include patient-reported outcomes and associated biomarkers; organizing, planning and directing project operations; working with external public and private agencies to meet project needs; analyzing and interpreting study findings; preparing data for presentation in written and printed form; designing survey instruments, utilizing RedCap as needed, and sampling procedures; designing or contributing to health promotion evaluation outcomes, analyzing problems and finding and evaluating alternate solutions.

Salary: Annual $60,000.00 - $80,000.00
Total Hours: 8-5, M-F
