The Financial Aid System Analyst will serve as the primary technical contact for the UWG Financial Aid Office to and from other university technical support offices. This position will coordinate with the Technical Coordinator and Departmental Assistant the inventory of all technical equipment assigned to the Financial Aid Office. This position will serve as the primary custodian of all data file transmissions to and from the US Department of Education and Georgia Student Finance Committee databases, including but not limited to FAA Access to CPS Online, the Common Origination and Disbursement System, the National Student Loan Data System, EdConnect, and EdExpress. The position will coordinate the development, implementation, testing, and maintenance of all financial aid management systems. The position will also create, analyze, document, and maintain reporting systems and methods. Along with Financial Aid Office leadership, this position will coordinate and implement the annual New Year Rollover process required for successful Financial Aid processing. This position will advise Financial Aid Office leadership regarding new technical processes, policies and procedures to ensure the office is current with leading technologies and federal and state financial aid requirements.
Bachelor’s degree required. A minimum of one year of related experience required. Excellent communication skills and attention to detail a must. Customer service skills are essential. Experience working with PL SQL, database systems, reporting tools, and MS Office Suite.
Advanced degree preferred. Experience in higher education preferred and with Banner and ARGOS.
Salary $19.18/hrly (minimum) to $25.07/hrly (midpoint)
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
This position requires an individual to work within an office setting with occasional meetings and presentations in other campus locations as well as off-campus locations. Must be able to travel to off-campus meetings. Occasional work outside of normal scheduled hours is necessary. Must be able to occasionally lift heavy boxes and packages, as needed up to 20 lbs.
