Job Title:         Assistant Registrar     

Reports To:     Registrar       

Status:             Exempt                       

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

 

  1. Oversee academic and event scheduling using Ad Astra software
  2. Maintain/update the Undergraduate and Graduate academic catalogs with the Registrar and Associate Registrar
  3. Assist the Associate Registrar with the Intent to Graduate process and the review of all prospective graduates to ascertain and communicate their progress towards their degrees
  4. Evaluate and process all Return to MSMC applications
  5. Assist with evaluating transcripts for possible transfer credit
  6. Work with the Associate Registrar in coordinating curriculum updates
  7. Produce reports for room scheduling as needed
  8. Assist with the Course Projections process
  9. Manage the TAP certification process with the Registrar Specialist
  10. Back up the Registrar as a contact person for school closings/delays
  11. Develop the Final Exam schedule and arrange for campus communication when finalized
  12. Represent the Registrar or Associate Registrar as needed or upon request
  13. Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

 

  1. Bachelor's degree
  2. Computer proficiency with student information systems, MS Office and specialized academic software; experience with Jenzabar, Ad Astra and/or Acalog preferred
  3. Previous experience working in a Registrar's Office; minimum of 3 years preferred
  4. Ability to multi-task, prioritize work projects and adjust to changing workloads and deadlines
  5. Able to work in a fast-paced environment while paying attention to detail
  6. Excellent customer service, interpersonal and written communication skills
  7. Ability to communicate well with students, parents, staff, faculty and administrators
