Oversee the department's accreditation process as established by the Commission on the Accreditation of Law Enforcement Agencies, and perform department administrative and business operations. Provide leadership, community and customer oriented focus to provide high quality, effective public safety services. Cultivate relationships, develop rapport to foster mutual trust, understanding and respect of individual rights and responsibilities. Reporting to the Chief/Director. Actively engage in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer experience.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree, related coursework and two to three years project management experience required. Demonstrated ability to understand and operationalize an accreditation process, knowledge of accreditation systems, applying standards and implementing practices. Demonstrated project management success. Effective, tactful and professional communication (oral/written) skills. Organizational skills, ability to prioritize and balance multi-concurrent responsibilities required. Demonstrated ability to take initiative, to work independently and collaboratively. Skilled in using personal computers to include spread sheet, word processing and database management (including proprietary software). Success working in a busy environment and under pressure. Working knowledge of 24/7 staffing operations. Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to workplace diversity, sustainability and delivering exceptional value and great experience to customers.
