Duties and Responsibilities Primarily responsible for the recruitment of traditional and non-traditional students for Pierpont Community & Technical College. The position requires extensive travel to college and career fairs in the 13 county service region. Public speaking and providing follow-up assistance to prospective students and parents is required. Works in all aspects of managing the enrollment of all students at Pierpont Community & Technical College; visits high schools, vocational schools, and other community locations to recruit new students; counsels students and parents about academic programs, admissions requirements and procedures, financial aid application process, career goals and course selection; represents Pierpont Community and Technical College, by participating in on and off-campus recruiting events and workshops; assists in the development and implementation of a strategic recruitment plan to increase adult student enrollment; maintains contact with high school guidance counselors and other community contacts to deal with their concerns and questions; sets recruiting itinerary and makes all necessary arrangements to facilitate travel and meet job obligations; coordinates campus visits for various individuals and groups including high school students, parents, and adult students; provides input for revisions of departmental brochures and informational/recruiting materials; maintains a thorough knowledge of all academic programs and philosophies in addition to student, faculty and administrative functions; operates a personal computer for data entry and retrieval. Frequent travel; frequent evening and weekend hours required.
Minimum Required Education Bachelor's degree (or equivalent, as determined by HR).

Type and Amount of Experience Needed Over six and up to twelve months of experience; however, any equivalent combination of education and/or experience is acceptable which provides an applicant the listed knowledge, skills, and abilities and the capability to perform the essential functions of the job.
Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in a related field. Previous admissions and recruiting experience. One year experience in recruiting adult students is strongly preferred.
