Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

Minimum three or more years of collegiate and/or professional hockey experience is required. Knowledge of NCAA, BigTen, WCHA, and University policies preferred. Video experience preferred. Athletic Equipment Managers Association (AEMA) accreditation preferred.

Other qualifications include: Ability to setup and use video equipment for recording games and practices and ability to edit video; Ability to communicate effectively with diverse entities from student-athletes to alumni. The successful applicant must be able to develop and implement innovative approaches and solutions; Work well independently and in teams; and be flexible in accepting new responsibilities. Extensive working knowledge of all aspects of hockey is considered an asset. Knowledge of purchasing and maintaining hockey equipment. Extensive knowledge of database applications and report generation is also beneficial.

Position Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Head Coach for Women's Hockey, act as the Director of Women's Hockey Operations for a Division I program in accordance with NCAA, WCHA and University rules and regulations. Responsibilities include: Supervising the day to day operations of the Women's hockey office; Maintain and help develop the women's hockey budget; Assisting student-athletes and their families; Coordinating all transportation, lodging and meals for team travel; Performing roster management and serving as a liaison with the Compliance Office; Assisting with the scheduling of practices and games; Assisting with recruiting functions such as database maintenance, reporting, scheduling; Assist with maintaining video network, recording all games and practices, during and post-game editing and all other duties assigned by the Head Coach. Ability to order, maintain and repair hockey equipment including but not limited to sizing, skate sharpening, radius techniques and laundering. Other duties as assigned. The most qualified candidates must perform all the above duties while ensuring that the program strictly adheres to all NCAA, BigTen, WCHA and University recruiting guidelines.

This is a Limited Appointment on an 11-month contract, serving at the discretion of the Women's Head Hockey Coach. Salary will be assigned within the appropriate range, commensurate with the candidate's qualifications and experience. An excellent benefits package is also included.
