Advertised Job Summary
Under general supervision helps facilitate and directs recorded distance education courses, assist with live productions, and synchronize other digitally delivered media. Media is mainly, but not limited to, delivery via web conferencing, video teleconferencing, streaming on-demand, digital capture, and other digital mediums. The Classroom Support Specialist must be able to handle classroom studios designed for a single operator, including multiple remote cameras. Must be skilled in the areas of computers systems, computer graphics, and trouble shooting. Must be able to work a schedule which may include week night, early morning, and some weekends. The work schedule does change during the course of a year and may be subject to longer work periods. Flexibility is essential since schedules are subject to change on a weekly basis.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions)
Bachelor's degree in related field and 2 years experience in radio or TV programming, production or engineering; or high school diploma and 6 years experience in radio or TV programming, production or engineering.Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or graduation from an accredited school of mediaKnowledge/Skills/Abilities
Working knowledge of media production techniques and equipment. Ability to interpret and develop broad concepts, goals/objectives into mediated materials. Have a sound knowledge of production equipment, computer systems, and computer graphics. Ability to manage people, limited budgets, deadlines and clients well. Ability to work under limited supervision and be a good leader as well as team player.
