Patient Services Coordinator/UKHC

Job description

The KCH DanceBlue Pediatric Hematology Oncology Clinic is seeking an individual to assist with patient registration and coordination of care.

The responsibilities of the position include coordinating incoming and outgoing patient referrals, coordinate scheduling of multidisciplinary clinic appointments, scheduling tests and procedures including but not limited to radiology scans, echocardiograms, nuclear medicine tests, cross cover insurance authorization, and reviewing medical records and abstracting data.

The person in this position will need to be adept in working with a multidisciplinary team and have strong communication skills.

Experience with medical terminology, pre-authorization, scheduling, and customer service in a healthcare environment preferred.

Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm


Experience in health care, insurance, pre-authorization, electronic medical records, medical coding including CPT and ICD 10, scheduling appointments, customer service,
verbal and written communication, organization, judgment, electronic applications. Excellent communication skills and the ability to multi-task and stay organized in a fast-paced environment are also required.

Associates degree in a healthcare related field and 4 years of healthcare experience.
