Exchange System AdministratorPosition Summary
The Information Technologist I position reports to the Messaging and Collaboration Manager and is responsible for providing Microsoft Windows Server, Office 365 and Exchange installation, management, optimization and technical support for these campus-wide services. Expert knowledge of Microsoft Exchange transport routing, DAGs, databases, logs, protocols, components, dependencies, and an in-depth understanding of SMTP mail flow in general is needed. Candidate should offer exceptional customer service through the ability to manage challenging technical issues by setting customer expectations and devising and implementing action plans.Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills
Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related information technology field, with coursework in an information technology specialization related to the area of employment; one to three years of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in any of the following: Exchange 2010, 2016, Exchange Online, Microsoft Windows Server 2008, 2012, Power Shell, Active Directory, Pearl, MySQL, Microsoft Azure Active Directory, Security best practices and implementation for Microsoft technologies; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Desired Qualifications
• Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
• Experience focusing on large or complex Enterprise class infrastructures requiring creative and complex solutions.
• The ability to lead all aspects of the technical discussion of facilitating the customer’s understanding of the product/solution through presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, deployments,troubleshooting and support.
• Demonstrated support throughout the product life cycle and developed/managed references through high quality technical and professional client and stakeholder relationships ensuring customer satisfaction.
