The University of Massachusetts Amherst invites applications for a full-time Lecturer (non-tenure track). This position will involve teaching a number of sections each year of our Junior Year Technical Writing course. Teaching responsibilities include curriculum development and preparation of web-based material.

Requires an MA or MFA degree in English, Writing or relevant technical discipline (Ph.D preferred) and experience teaching writing in a higher education setting; knowledge of professional and scientific writing and excellent communication skills required. Applicants should include in their responses a clear statement of their teaching and related experience, a curriculum vitae summarizing their educational and professional backgrounds along with a list of any published works and/or samples of their writing. Names of three persons who may be contacted regarding the candidate's qualifications should also be provided.

The search committee will begin reviewing applications on April 13, 2018. The search will continue until the position is filled (contingent to approval and funding).
