Job Summary

The Part-Time Administrative Assistant provides support and assistance to the department.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prepares comprehensive reports, conducts special research projects, and coordinates activities and events campus-wide
  • Responds on matters related to department services, which may include general inquiries or customer complaints from students, employees and the community
  • Interprets and evaluates problems, collects data and/or information, establishes facts, and draws valid conclusions on campus issues and complaints
  • Participates on campus-wide planning as assigned
  • Ensures accuracy of information provided
  • Represents the department on College campus-wide committees and task forces on campus events & activities, as directed
  • Supervises part-time personnel, as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree and three (3) years of office experience
  • All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
  • Possess excellent organizational and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Possess computer skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, Access, and Power Point
  • Ability to respond effectively to the needs of the campus and College community
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule to include evening and weekend assignments
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
