Job Summary

The Assistant works within the Presidents Office and assists with coordinating Social Media functions.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assists in managing all functions of On-line Social Media website to include making updates in a timely manner
  • Prepares correspondence as appropriate
  • Responds to phone calls and on-line requests involving social media information, events, and scheduling
  • Functions as a generalist within the assigned area of responsibility, having sufficient knowledge to assist within the scope of the administrative position
  • Identifies means to collect data for analysis
  • Assists administration by preparing periodic reports, and monitoring schedules for V.I.P.s
  • Updates and manages Presidents V.I.P. List
  • Works closely with the Assistant to the College President and assists in writing and/or editing releases, newsletters, booklets, brochures, advertisements, and other informational and marketing material as assigned
  • Schedules and attends meetings and prepares meeting minutes as needed
  • Processes department documents as needed
  • Adheres to all program, Campus, and College policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree; or an Associates degree and two (2) years of related administrative experience
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Possess excellent communication skills (both written and oral) and write correspondence
  • Ability to become knowledgeable of criteria within assigned area
  • Ability to use Social Media Website and make updates
  • Knowledge of spreadsheets and Microsoft applications
  • Possess appropriate administrative skills
  • Ability to prioritize all assignments
  • Ability to deal with problems or refer problems to appropriate areas
  • Ability to follow and issue oral and written instructions
  • Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
