Job Summary: The Department of Kinesiology at the University of Georgia invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track position at the rank of instructor in the area of sport management to begin August 1, 2018. The Department of Kinesiology has 25 full-time faculty members and offers B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. programs in the academic areas of athletic training, exercise science, physical education, and sport management. Department faculty members are nationally and internationally recognized for their scholarly accomplishments and teaching excellence. The Department has exceptional facilities in the Ramsey Center located on the main campus. Responsibilities: Teach a wide range of undergraduate sport management classes within the program curriculum. Establish sport management internship/practicum sites and supervise student field experiences. Contribute to program development and outreach through cultivating professional relations between the sport management program and various sport organizations. Assist with program management (e.g., program assessment, course scheduling, alumni relations). Provide educational assistance to individual students and contribute to service activities at the program, department, college, and university levels. Hiring is contingent on proof of eligibility to work in the United States and completion of a background check, among other requirements. Minimum Qualifications: An earned master's or doctoral degree in Kinesiology or a closely related field of study by August 1, 2018.

Preferred Qualifications: An applicant should have an extensive professional background in sport organizations, be passionate and enthusiastic toward professional teaching and student learning, and demonstrate strong evidence of and commitment to teaching excellence.
