Position Summary: This position is located in the Marsico Lung Institute Cystic Fibrosis Pulmonary Research & Treatment Center. The Center is comprised of a broad spectrum of basic and clinical scientists with research interests focused on multiple rare diseases of the lung including Cystic Fibrosis, Primary Ciliary Dyskinesia, Idiopathic bronchiectasis, and Primary Immunodeficiency Disorders, among others. This position will serve as Project Manager for several ongoing multi-site research studies of rare airways diseases and will be responsible for assisting development and for management of new clinical studies. This position requires considerable knowledge of human physiology and biology, including immune defense function, as well as systemic effect of a broad range of medications. This position also requires judgement, strong organizational skills, proficiency in all aspects of research administration, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Education Requirements: Postbaccalaureate credentials in the health sciences along with at least a Bachelor's degree in public health, biological sciences or related social sciences and 3 or more years of related experience required. Graduate degree in biological or social sciences highly preferred.

Qualification and Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience as lead coordinator of clinical research protocols. Demonstrated academic involvement and productivity. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work and multi-task. Knowledge of institutional review board procedures and experience with drafting and processing IRB submissions. Documented extensive knowledge of Good Clinical Practices, IRB and CFR procedures. Demonstrated skills in managing personnel and working with numerous internal and external collaborators. Proficient in EPIC and use of electronic databases.
