Position Summary: The Division of Hematology and Oncology at the UNC School of Medicine is recruiting for an individual to lead our Adult Sickle Cell Program. The successful candidate for this open rank faculty position in the Division of Hematology/Oncology will have clinical expertise and research experience in the area of hemoglobinopathies. The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill offers an exceptionally collaborative environment with very strong clinical programs in both hematology and oncology as well as outstanding basic and translational research programs. The Sickle Cell Program has been a highly successful program for decades, with an exceptional track record in clinical care as well as both clinical and translational research. This program is supported by a team of professionals, including nurse practitioners, a medical social worker, and resources to build an even stronger clinical and research team.
Education Requirements: MD or DO
Qualification and Experience: The successful candidate for this open rank faculty position in the Division of Hematology/Oncology will have clinical expertise and research experience in the area of hemoglobinopathies. Board eligibility or certification in Hematology is required. Rank and amount of protected time will be determined at a level commensurate with the applicant's experience and accomplishments.
