Degree and Area of Specialization:
Bachelor's degree required. Emphasis in social sciences, public health, bioinformatics, computer science, or related field preferred.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Assignment to Research Specialist and Senior Research Specialist is dependent on experience. 3-6 years of clinical research is required for Research Specialist. Seven (7) years of commensurate experience in a clinical research setting is required to be considered for the Senior level of this position. An ideal candidate will possess a deep, fundamental understanding of the research process and clinical trials research, in particular. Experience with working in a fast paced, high volume clinical research setting along with robust phlebotomy skills is strongly preferred. Experience with Institutional Review Board human subject?s research submissions is preferred.

The All of Us (AoU) Research Coordinator will work under the direction of the AoU Research Project Manager (RPM), to provide hands on support and assistance associated with the implementation of a large research project infrastructure at UW. The Research Coordinator will participate in participant screening, consenting, enrollment, and data collection. This will involve participation in training and routine training updates. AoU Wisconsin includes activities in Dane, Milwaukee and other WI counties. In addition to working collaboratively with colleagues at UW, UW Health and SHOW, the Research Coordinator will also support research data collection activities at partner clinical and community health sites in accordance with establish protocols and standard operating procedures and in coordination with project staff including Research Ambassadors/ Engagement Specialists. Travel to off-site locations may be required to perform study related procedures. A valid driver's license and personal vehicle accessibility is required; eligibility to use the Enterprise Fleet Management System is also required. This position may entail working outside of regular business hours at times.

Excellent verbal and written skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is required. Must be able to work well independently as well as on a team. The successful candidate will be detailed oriented and possess excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and organizational skills.
Hire will be subject to criminal and caregiver background checks.
This is a fixed term terminal 2 year appointment. There is a possibility the position would be converted to renewable depending on need and funding.
