Assistant Professor of Theatre

Full Time/Part Time: Full-Time

General Summary of Responsibilities: The Department of Communication Arts in the College of the Arts seeks applicants for an Assistant Professor of Theatre. The position is an academic (ten-month), tenure-track faculty position. The position will be responsible for teaching courses in in Voice and Diction (IPA), Oral Interpretation, Acting for the Camera, acting courses within the curriculum as needed and courses within the General Education curriculum as needed. Courses may be delivered in traditional, online, hybrid, and in off-campus formats. Faculty members are expected to make substantive contributions to the Department including advising, departmental and university service, community service, and research/creative activity. Required Qualifications: Terminal Degree (Ph.D. or MFA) in Theatre by appointment date. Demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching and learning, as well as scholarship. A commitment to diversity and inclusion.
