Duties: The Student Services Coordinator devises and implements innovative student-centered initiatives and activities that enhance the student experience and promote student satisfaction for all ELP students and for LPS custom programs. These services include: planning orientation activities and socio-cultural events and managing their budgets; advising students on non-academic issues and connecting them to appropriate Penn resources; managing the ELP Student Center and hiring, training, and supervising its staff; overseeing on- and off-campus housing options and liaising with providers to ensure student satisfaction, safety, and quality of accommodations; and leading efforts to engage students with the ELP, Penn, and Philadelphia community. This position also chairs the Student Services Committee and participates in task forces that address student satisfaction issues.

Qualifications: A Master's Degree in TESOL or Applied Linguistics and 1 year to 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. The ideal candidate will have experience living or working abroad, or working with international students; strong verbal and written communication skills; cross-cultural communication skills; ability to work with a variety of stakeholders: instructors, staff, student workers, students, housing providers, and CAPS.

Preferred: experience leading teams, advising, events planning, and budgeting.
