California Institute for Telecommunications and Information Technology currently has Project Scientist position open.
CALIT2 promotes research and develops technology for areas such as biomedical, communication and networking technologies.
Duties - Conduct research on human-computer interaction applied to the “Internet of Things” including electronic devices and software applications for advancements in user-centric healthcare and energy efficiency. Design, implement and evaluate new affordable IoT devices, applications and networked systems. Conduct pilot studies to evaluate the product performance and user experience of the new technology developed.

Requirements - Ph.D. degree or its equivalent in industrial design, mechanical and electrical engineering, or related field, plus Three (3) years of experience as Project Scientist, Engineering Project Manager, Project Engineer or related occupation, including experience in working on applications for graphic design (Adobe Illustrator) and mechanical design (SolidWorks and Inventor); experience in product engineering, designing, and prototyping; testing the results and quality of user experience; utilizing at least two of the following programming languages for implementation of graphical user interfaces: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Python, Swift, C#, and/or C++; and integrate creativity and functionality, perform drawings, model 3D parts and assemblies.
