Lecturer - Counseling and Human Services
The Department of Counseling and Human Services in the College of Education at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure-track positions will be made in the CACREP accredited Clinical Mental Health and School Counseling programs as well as undergraduate Human Services program. Additional teaching and supervision in the specialty UCCS/USAFA Counseling & Leadership program may be available. It is preferred that candidates have a doctoral degree in Counselor Education and Supervision, and meet CACREP core faculty eligibility requirements. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester. Temporary Lecturer appointments are not eligible for group health and life insurance benefits or leave accrual. Pay rate is dependent on the number of courses taught.

- Hold a master's degree, from a regionally accredited institution with a CACREP accredited program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, School Counseling and/or Addictions Counseling
- Hold a doctorate, preferably in Counselor Education and Supervision from a regionally accredited institution (CACREP preferred) to teach at the graduate level
- Teaching experience at the college level
- Hold or be eligible for relevant state licensure (LPC, Licensed School Counselor, Licensed Addictions Counselor)
- Demonstrate commitment to working with diverse populations of learners and demonstrate support for social justice advocacy within the program, community and profession
- Experience in addictions counseling
- Experience in mental health services to military connected clients
- Experience in school counseling

This Lecturer pool will remain active through April 1, 2018 when all applications will be cleared from the pool and we will post a new announcement if needed. If you are not selected in the current pool, you are welcome to reapply to the subsequent pool.
