FACULTY NURSING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
FACULTY POSITION FALL 2018
Tallahassee Community College announces an opening for the following continuing contract instructional faculty position for 2018-2019. Tallahassee Community College is a dynamic and growing comprehensive community college located in Tallahassee, Florida. The College’s 2017 fall enrollment of more than 12,400 students includes nearly 47 percent minority students. The College enjoys a strong reputation for teaching excellence and for producing graduates with Associate in Arts degrees, Associate in Science degrees, and college credit certificates. Tallahassee is also home to two state universities, Florida State University and Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. TCC partners with both universities and with a number of private higher education institutions to afford greater opportunities for all students, faculty, and surrounding communities. TCC also partners with area businesses and organizations to meet local workforce needs.
Faculty responsibilities include instruction, curriculum, service and support of college policies and procedures, and professional development. Starting salaries for instructional faculty positions are competitive.
FACULTY NURSING ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of a Master’s degree in nursing and licensed as a Registered Nurse (R.N.) in the state of Florida. Recent Medical/Surgical clinical nursing preferred. Must successfully complete health screening, drug screening and clinical affiliate required background checks.
FACULTY SURGICAL TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Minimum Qualifications: A minimum of an Associate degree in Surgical Services or a related field, Baccalaureate degree or higher preferred; must be a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST), credentialed by a nationally recognized accrediting body with a minimum of two years of current operating room experience in the scrub role or two years of current experience as an instructor in surgical technology.
FACULTY RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Requires a Bachelor’s degree and two years of clinical experience and licensed as an American Registry Radiologic Technologists (AART). A Master’s degree is preferred.
FACULTY HEALTH INFORMATION MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT PROFESSOR
Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of Master’s degree in qualifying field –AND RHIA Credential AND Industry related work experience in medical coding and billing, other credentials includes CCP, CCS, or other related credentials. Qualifying fields include academic concentration in Health Sciences including Health Information Management, Nursing Health Education, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration.
