Position Summary:
Office of Admissions. The Staff Assistant serves as a Transfer Credit Evaluator and assists with counseling prospective students on admissions procedures.

Essential Functions

  • Reviews application materials and college transcripts to determine eligibility for admission.
  • Articulates transfer credit to Georgia Southern.
  • Provides aid with processing all student types, including entry of applications, transcripts, and daily mail.
  • Participates with transfer student visitation opportunities as needed.
  • Maintains high internal and external customer service standards.
  • Meets with prospective students to review enrollment requirements.

    High School Diploma or equivalent

    One or more years of related work experience

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    Effective communication (verbal and written), organization and human relations skills; ability to work well in a diverse environment; proficiency with computer and Microsoft Office Applications software including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; successful completion of background investigation prior to employment.

    Preferred Education:
    Bachelor’s Degree

    Preferred Experience::
    Experience with Banner SIS and credit articulation

    Salary Range: $23,050 - $29,726
