Job Description Summary:

The Office of Faculty Affairs is responsible for all matters related to the life cycle of a GW faculty member, including recruitment and hiring, orientation of new faculty and department chairs, promotion and tenure criteria, and part-time faculty support and development.

Reporting to the Assistant Director, Faculty Personnel and working in an office environment, the Faculty Affairs Coordinator, Data Analysis is responsible for the day-to-day management of personnel transactions in support of the faculty life cycle.

Processes all full-time faculty personnel actions including but not limited to: electronic personnel action forms (ePAFs), terminations, employment eligibility process (I-9 & E-Verify), and various leave request.

Establishes the personnel record in the University's enterprise system for newly hired faculty.

Consults with members of GW faculty on transaction protocol, data and requests, in conjunction with the manager.

Provides special project support for departmental, School, and University initiatives as requested.

Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties that are logically related to the position.

Minimum Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will hold a high school diploma/GED plus 3 years of relevant professional experience, or, a Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant area of study. Degree must be conferred by the start date of the position. Degree requirements may be substituted with an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Additional Required Licenses/Certifications/Posting Specific Minimum Qualifications: Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in an academic environment is desired.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Banner
Excellent quantitative thinking skills, including the ability to examine available data, apply decision rules and analytical methods
Strong attention to detail and accuracy of information, including the ability to organize large amounts of data and track multiple requests simultaneously
