NURSE PRACTITIONER - Pediatric Diabetes
Pediatrics-Endocrinology

Pediatric Diabetes Nurse Practitioner position in the Duke Division of Pediatric Endocrinology.

Eligible candidates must hold RN and NP degrees and must have considerable experience in the evaluation and care of infants, children, and teenagers with insulin resistance and types 1 and 2 diabetes; advanced degrees (Masters and/or PhD) and clinical research experience are highly desirable.

The Nurse Practitioner will provide consultative care to insulin resistant and diabetic children on the inpatient ward and in outpatient clinics at Duke Children's Hospital & Health Center, Lenox Baker Children's Hospital, and Duke Children's outpatient clinics in Raleigh and Cary North Carolina. In that capacity, he/she will work closely and collaboratively with Duke physicians, nurses, nutritionists, social workers, and administrative and secretarial staff. Time will be allotted for the Nurse Practitioner to spearhead the development of a pediatric diabetes database and telehealth program.
