Provide and oversight in developing a marketing and communications program to support and promote the ongoing activities and achievements of the Vermont Center on Behavior and Health (VCBH) and its COBRE and TCORS Center grants. Responsibilities include: annual communications and outreach planning, oversight, and reporting related to the promotion of VCBH, COBRE and TCORS, and its faculty's activities and achievements; development of research articles, VCBH editorial and promotional content, and event and news blasts to be posted to the VCBH website and its associated e-newsletter; research, design, and execution of digital and social media advertising campaigns to enhance the visibility of VCBH to students, researchers, and the public; facilitation of VCBH-specific stakeholder and press relations and events; service as VCBH's public relations and marketing liaison to the University of Vermont's press relations and marketing departments; oversight of updates and editing of the VCBH website content management system and listserv; development and execution of a VCBH annual conference recruitment and promotion plan; ongoing editorial and copywriting support to VCBH faculty and researchers, including technical expertise on grant writing and abstract development.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree in related field and three to five years related experience required.
Effective written and verbal communication skills and attention to detail and time-management skills. Demonstrated ability to understand and translate complex and technical topics into compelling, comprehensible, and relevant content for a variety of audiences and delivered across various media required.
Desirable Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in health-focused marketing, digital and traditional communications, content development and copy editing, and stakeholder and press relations highly desirable. Experience producing and managing website and/or e-newsletter content desirable. Experience creating and administering online advertising campaigns desirable.

6-month probationary period required.

Position is contingent on availability of restricted funding.
