-Two years of experience successfully supervising/managing others in a project or team setting.
-Experience managing an IT/informatics portfolio of activities, including using project management and strategic planning principles; high-level analysis; and effective communication strategies and techniques.
-Demonstrated ability to maintain multiple information technology and administrative systems.
-Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills are required.

Position Summary:

As a member of the School of Medicine and Public Health Information Technology (SMPH IT) and Biomedical Informatics (BMI) team, the incumbent will provide planning, implementation, delivery, programming, support, and ongoing maintenance of research and administrative activities within SMPH, in partnership with UW Health and UW-Madison. S/He will also serve as the technical point of contact for the All of Us Research Program, a national initiative to gather data from one million people living in the United States to accelerate research and improve health. The incumbent will participate in and lead joint projects between the SMPH and the Enterprise Analytics (EA), including development of the i2b2 clinical data warehouse. This position works under the direction of Institute of Clinical and Translational Research?s Director of Biomedical Informatics/Chief Research Information Officer.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:
-Minimum of 5 years relevant experience making significant contributions in an information technology setting.
-Masters degree in Healthcare, Information Technology, Business, or related field.
-Experience designing and implementing healthcare database/data warehouse systems and common data transfer mechanisms (HL7/FHIR).
-Experience developing and maintaining secured web-based data collection and management systems, preferably in the clinical research arena.
-Ability to provide clinical informatics support services and consulting.
-Ability to develop, coordinate, and advance IT policies, processes, standards, services and system improvements at the department, school, campus, and national levels.
-Working knowledge of Clinical Trial Management Systems or Electronic Clinical Research Form systems (i.e., OnCore, REDCap, EHR (i.e. Epic, Cerner))/Research integration, Registries/Recruitment systems, or mining systems such as i2b2, and patient registries or similar healthcare systems.
-Experience employing HIPAA/FISMA/21 CFR Part 11, SOP Management, and Risk Management.
