Position Description
The Application Developer provides full application development life cycle support for custom applications, including web and mobile applications, using various programming or scripting languages. Gathers requirements, perform design, develops code, tests, and maintains programs in support of various platforms including web and mobile devices, using software development life cycle methodologies. Explores, learns and implements emerging technologies in alignment with management direction. Develops and keeps current repository of development templates and program documentation.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Working knowledge of SharePoint, Workflow solutions, Content Management Systems (i.e. Drupal, WordPress), GIT, Version Control, Composer, Docker, Vagrant, and Ticketing Software. Working knowledge of backend Database environments - Microsoft SQL, Oracle and/or MySQL. High level working knowledge of PHP (Codeigniter framework preferred), and knowledge of at least three of the following: AJAX, JQuery, JavaScript, or Perl. Working knowledge of HTML 5 and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) is preferred.Working knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies. Ability to work under short deadlines with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to work with limited supervision both on and off shift to resolve issues impacting supported users. Ability to read and understand various kinds of software documentation and be able to apply the information to problems and situations encountered. Awareness of accessibility in web design and document remediation.

Education and Experience
Equivalent to a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related technical field and two years of related experience required.
