Experience Requirement: Excellent communication skills are required. Applicant must have a strong commitment to undergraduate education and interdisciplinary collaboration. Industrial working or college teaching experiences are preferred.

Usual Duties: This is an academic year 9 month appointment with opportunity for possible summer employment. Seventy-five percent teaching, twenty-five percent research appointment with service activities required for promotion, merit based pay raise, and tenure. Ability to teach traditional and online courses is expected.

Degree Requirements: An earned doctorate degree in Industrial Safety Management, Occupational Health and Safety, Safety and Environmental Sciences & Management, Safety Engineering, or other closely related fields. Desired areas of interest include safety laws, regulations, and standards, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, pollution controls, and safety in chemical/construction industries.

Other Requirements for the Position: The successful applicant will contribute to our growing undergraduate research program, and is expected to help with improving the program within the department including further development of lab and teaching resources, curriculum develop, and application for academic accreditation and certification programs (i.e. ABET, ACCE, OSHA).
