The Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology seeks to appoint a part-time lecturer to teach a Comparative Physiology course during the Spring 2018 semester. The course covers basic physical and chemical processes in animal tissue, detailed consideration of organ systems, and an integrative approach to understand how animals meet the demands placed upon them. Topics will range from invertebrate, vertebrate (including human), ecological and environmental physiology. Interested applicants must submit a cover letter, a curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching (no more than 500 words) explaining how you would approach the course, and contact information for no more than three professional references. Review of applications will begin immediately. The successful candidate must have an advanced degree in related sciences and be knowledgeable about the physiology of animals. Teaching experience at the higher education level required. A Ph.D. in biological sciences is highly preferred. While the appointment period for this position spans February 1, 2018 to July 1, 2018, classes will begin on February 5, 2018 and end on May 25, 2018.
