Nature of Work

To provide pediatric Nephrology support through clinical, academic and research related activities.

Examples of Work Performed
Provide direct clinical care to children with a wide array of nephrological issues, with a focus on outpatients acutely or chronically cared for in the Kidney Center, in settings such as the Infusion and Procedure Centers and possibly also in the inpatient setting.

Provide teaching to nurses and related staff, fellows, residents, and medical students

Help develop, implement, and update various care protocols (e.g. related to routine aspects of blood pressure management, chronic kidney disease care and renal replacement therapy)

Minimum Requirements

Current Colorado State Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner License, graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Examples include, but are not limited to, performing comprehensive examinations, ordering medications, communicating effectively with consulting services and the ability to educate others.

Preferred Qualifications
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary, academic health care setting.
Interest in caring for a unique pediatric patient population with chronic illness
Experience in pediatrics, preferably pediatric nephrology or even pediatric dialysis

Salary and Benefits:

The hiring salary for this position is and commensurate with skills and experience. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation.
