The Batten Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Darden School of Business has an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to join its team.

The Associate Director, Research Programs & Partnerships (AD-RP&P) , is responsible for managing and developing programs and partnerships that advance the research priorities of UVA Darden's Batten Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.

The AD-RP&P is expected to provide strong administrative leadership for the Institute's core research-related programs (e.g., grants, fellows, roundtables, conferences, summits) that enable us to be engaged meaningfully with academic peers and senior executives. Working collaboratively with faculty and the Institute's team, the AD-RP&P is also expected to establish, maintain and strengthen strategic relationships with leaders from a variety of institutions and organizations in order to ensure that Darden is well-connected both in academia and the world of practice.

The AD-RP&P has significant operational, market-facing responsibility and must ensure world-class partnership development and program execution. The AD-RP&P reports to the Institute's Director of Research & Intellectual Capital, with oversight from the Executive Director.

Responsibilities Include:
Provide comprehensive administrative leadership for the Institute's Global Innovators Roundtable program, convening groups of senior executives around the world for seminar-style discussions about corporate innovation several times a year;
Strengthen and grow Roundtable participation and global reach by establishing healthy and sustainable partnerships with companies, organizations, and senior executives;
Plan, organize and execute an annual academic research conference in collaboration with University of Cambridge (UK), working closely with conference chairs and affiliated faculty;
Manage and implement prestigious Batten Research Grants and Batten Fellows programs, supporting proposal submission, committee evaluations, and ongoing grantee engagement;
Ensure outstanding stakeholder management and support across all research and intellectual capital programs, meeting the programmatic of Darden faculty and UVA affiliates, as well as external academic and corporate partners;
Demonstrate an ongoing assessment of impact (ROI) and provide ideas, creativity and initiative that can amplify the Institute's impact as a sponsor of research and ideas.
