General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant for Athletic Training. The graduate assistant for athletic training will be responsible for coverage of athletic practices, games, rehabilitation, pre and post practice set up and break down and any other responsibility that has to do with the assigned team/school for which they are contracted. This position will have an appointment with athletics team(s) within the Athletic Department at University of North Georgia. Graduate Assistants will play a major role in the clinical learning experience of UNG Athletic Training students as their supervisors in the clinical setting. This position will include a tuition waiver.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Graduate Assistant will:

  • Assist with Athletic Coverage for the University or Appointed high school
  • Keep Medical record for injuries and rehabilitation
  • Supervise of clinical experience for athletic training students
  • Rehab and preventative medicine and injury evaluations
  • Assist with labs and clinical skills in the classroom setting as indicated by course need.

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Certified Athletic Trainer; Georgia Licensed Athletic Trainer.
