FINANCIAL MGMT ANALYST I
Medicine-Pulmonary

Provide financial oversight and management of the Rodent Inhalation Core Shared Resource. Follow School of Medicine requirements for the financial management of shared resources. Review monthly reports with Core directors, analyze revenue and expenses, make recommendations for pricing, and ensure a clean close out each year.

Serve as liaison with Department of Medicine Research Administration Office. Provide financial oversight of all division fund codes. Generate monthly reports for all institutional funds including startup funds, discretionary funds, and internal grants, and review with PI and Grants Administrator monthly.

Work closely with Division CRU leadership to ensure appropriate financial oversight of PI study codes, helping to determine staffing needs and financial feasibility of studies. Establish pricing structure for research studies taking place at the Duke Asthma, Allergy, and Airway Center to enable collaborative research with other divisions/departments.

Division operating budget development and reconciliation. Compile monthly reports on division operating codes, reviewing trends that require intervention. Provide forecasts of year-end operations for monthly variance reports.

Oversee FAM reconciliations for all division codes, ensuring grant codes are reconciled by DOM-RA and non-grant codes (4XX, 391, 392) by the division.

Reconcile problem invoices from Accounts Payable, following up with purchasers to ensure timely payment of invoices. Serve as [email protected] contact for Division employees.

TRAC representative for the Division, ensuring all transactions are processed in a timely fashion and follow the GAP. Approve reimbursements processed by division staff. Initiate reimbursements for faculty if needed.

Process Journal Vouchers for internal transfers, such as DRH medical staff fees, Interventional Pulmonology Fellow revenue, Pulmonary Rehabilitation coverage, and chief support, following university guidelines and GAP Policies.

Submit iforms for cost distribution changes, and supplemental pay as needed, following university guidelines for effort management and GL account selection.

Process Accounts Payable Check Requests for Ellie's Fund recipients and other requests as needed.

Work with Division Clinical Chief and Division Administrator to calculate, review and update clinical incentives for physicians and APPs to maximize clinical productivity.

Validate time sheets for Select Pulmonary Consult Coverage and Duke Regional Pulmonary Consult Coverage. Submit invoices to Select Specialty and PDC and track revenue to ensure timely payment.

Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education

Work generally requires a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or a related business field.

Experience

Work generally requires two years of experience in accounting and/or budget review and analysis in a health care setting to become familiar with acceptable accounting principles. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
