Associate or Full Professor of Strategic Communication - 2 positions

The Department of Advertising, Public Relations and Media Design (APRD) at the University of Colorado Boulder invites applications for two tenured (associate or full) positions in strategic communication to begin August 2018.

The ideal candidate will be an outstanding scholar and teacher specializing in one or more of the following areas: communication management, media planning, account planning/consumer research, media effects or communication strategy.

Candidates should be experienced in teaching both undergraduate- and graduate-level courses. Preference will be given to candidates with leadership and mentoring experience within a department or program and demonstrable ability to collaborate with faculty in other academic units.

APRD is a fast-growing department focused on innovation, interdisciplinary research, and creativity housed in the College of Media Communication and Information at the University of Colorado Boulder. Our department has built on our nationally respected creative advertising program to include a new emphasis in public relations and media design. Our team of full-time, part-time and adjunct faculty bring a unique mix of academic expertise and industry experience to our department.

Candidates should hold a Ph.D. in advertising, mass communication, or a related field and demonstrate a distinguished record of research and scholarship. Successful candidates should be currently tenured at a similar rank at a peer institution OR meet the University of Colorado's criteria for hire with tenure at the associate or full professor level.
