• Electronics hardware assembly • Design and build electromechanical test fixtures • Follow electrical schematics and build electrical wire harnesses to design specifications • Solder and crimp aerospace electrical connections to NASA workmanship standards • Solder to NASA solder specifications • Perform some manual machining and lathe work • Oversee and manage existing electronics test and fabrication lab and improve overall organization of lab • Assist with planning and coordinating entire facility relocation next year • Perform detailed mechanical assembly of small mechanisms • Assist in test and assembly procedure development • Maintain calibration of test equipment and maintain validation log data • Assist with maintenance of laboratory equipment • Work with undergraduate and graduate students in developing their electrical design and assembly craft • Assist with soft goods development and flight hardware final packaging • Assist with flight hardware testing to meet major milestones • Work closely with BioServe's design engineers on multiple flight development projects at any given time
