Degree and Area of Specialization:
Ph.D in Nuclear Engineering or Materials Engineering or related field.
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Minimum of six months post degree training in an academic environment in high temperature corrosion and heat transfer for reactor cladding applications required, one year preferred. Must have experience with TEM (transmission electron microscopy), STEM (Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy), XRD ( X-Ray Diffraction) and XPS (X-ray photoelectron sprectroscopy).
License or certificate:
This position will provide research support to faculty and students in the area of advanced high temperatures and materials and coating processes for safer, higher-efficiency, nuclear reactor fuel as well as associated heat transfer modeling.
