Associate Director of Competitive Sports
The role of the Associate Director of Competitive Sports is to provide ethical leadership and strategic planning for the Club Sports, Intramural Sports and Summer Camp program to include; personnel management, budgeting, marketing, sponsorships, and interdepartmental collaborations. The Associate Director will guidance and mentorship for student clubs and officers, with focus on fiscal management, conflict resolution, travel planning, risk management, marketing, and leadership development. This position serves as the primary liaison between Club Sports, Intramural Sports, and facility operations while also developing new and unique program initiatives at both the Kennesaw and Marietta campuses. The Associate Director provides primary oversight and program planning for the KSU Summer Camp program ensuring proper communications to all levels of the university and patrons, adequate training for all staff levels, personnel management, managing promotional efforts, managing registration process, budget management, and risk management.

Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of related work experience.
Masters degree in Sports Management, Recreation Management or similar degree from an appropriately accredited institution and 5-7 years of experience in campus recreation or a closely related field
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
Experience supervising full time staff; proven ability to mentor full time staff and effectively handle personnel issues when necessary; experience in professional staff development
American Red Cross, CPR, First Aid, AED Instructor certification NIRSA Member
American Camp Director Certification
Experience with Club and Intramural programming at a university or similar environment
Experience growing and redefining programs
Proven experience with budgets, revenue generating programs, and sponsorships
Ability to analyze data and make sound decisions and recommendations based on the data/feedback
