Duties include acting as writing tutor and academic mentor for students enrolled in summer-term courses and programs. Tutors work with a diversity of student learners in the Skidmore College Writing Center on a walk-in and appointment basis. Tutors will also support the development of students' study skills, time management, problem-solving, assignment comprehension and overall adjustment to college-level academics. Candidates must be available starting Sunday, July 1 for training, outreach to students, and hosting Writing Center open houses in the evenings during the first week of Summer Session 2. In addition, tutors must be available to work from 6:00-10:00, Sundays through Thursdays from July 8 through August 2 (weeks 2-5 of Summer Session 2).

A limited number of on-campus housing subsidies are available for positions in Special Programs for Skidmore Students based on financial need. For information on how to apply for a housing subsidy visit: http://www.skidmore.edu/summer/housing/index.php
