General Summary: The University of North Georgia College and the Mike Cottrell College of Business is currently accepting internal applications for Associate Dean of faculty and graduate programs. This is a senior rank (Associate or Full Professor), 12-month, tenure-track position in the Mike Cottrell College of Business, an AACSB-accredited program and one of five colleges at UNG.The Associate Dean will be housed on the Dahlonega campus. The Mike Cottrell College of Business has an enrollment of approximately 4,500 students, and offers undergraduate programs on three campuses and an MBA on two campuses.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • The Mike Cottrell School of Business seeks an energetic individual to provide leadership in faculty development and overall internal operations.
  • The Associate Dean will encourage professional development opportunities for faculty and staff and champion excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • The successful candidate will have the ability to work with and manage professionals to create and maintain a collegial and mutually respectful environment for faculty and staff.
  • Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication, instructional and administrative proficiencies.

Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements: Candidates must have:
  • An earned doctorate in business or closely related field;
  • Demonstrated strong leadership skills;
  • Demonstrated success in teaching and scholarship;
  • Effective interpersonal skills to work successfully with students, faculty, staff, the broader university and the community
  • Experience in working within an AACSB accredited business school.
