General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant for athletic training. The Graduate Assistant will be responsible for coverage of athletic practices, games, rehabilitation, pre and post practice set up and break down and any other responsibility that has to do with the assigned team/school for which they are contracted. Two positions are available, responsible for outreach at local high schools. Graduate Assistants will play a major role in the clinical learning experience of UNG Athletic Training students as their supervisors in the clinical setting. This position will include a tuition waiver.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Graduate Assistant will:
  • Provide Athletic Coverage for the University or Appointed high school
  • Keep medical record for injuries and rehabilitation
  • Supervise clinical experience for athletic training students
  • Perform rehab and preventative medicine and injury evaluations
  • Assist with labs and clinical skills in the classroom setting as indicated by course need.


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • Certified Athletic Trainer; Georgia Licensed Athletic Trainer
  • Bachelor's degree Required.
