The position is responsible for providing ESL instruction on a course-by-course basis. Students in the ESL program come from a variety of backgrounds and have different English language learning needs. Students are divided into classes based on their level of English communicative ability and/or their progress through the ESL program.

1. Teach Adult ESL classes.
2. Abide by program policies and procedures.
3. Participate in meetings and other events as required.


Minimum Qualifications

1. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a part/full-time basis.
2. A bachelor's degree in a related field.
3. Experience teaching ESL for a minimum of one year. Student teaching and volunteer teaching experience will be considered.
4. Experience working with a diverse student population.
5. Training in teaching ESL.
6. Proven experience in delivery of high quality instruction to limited literacy and language populations.


Preferred Qualifications

1. A Master's Degree in ESL or a related field OR a Master's Degree and relevant experience.
2.) Current enrollment in a postgraduate degree program.
2. Completion of a TESOL certificate program.
3. Teaching experience in Adult or Vocational ESL.
